Day 1: Favourite Star Wars Movie

Welcome to the 15 Day Star Wars challenge. One post everyday until the release of The Last Jedi.

Why am I doing this? Because I'm excited. Because I'm a nerd. Because I love Star Wars. Star Wars has been a part of my life ever since I was very young. I loved the spaceships, the lightsaber battles, and the many characters within the movies and the video games.

To begin this journey to The Last Jedi, I thought I'd start by talking about my favourite Star Wars movie: Return of the Jedi.

Episode 6 has always been a favourite of mine. In fact, I'd even go as far as saying that Jedi is one of my all-time favourite movies. It's the closing chapter of the timeless original trilogy. The evil Empire is defeated, the rebels are safe, and everyone lives happily ever after. Almost anyway.

It is a stunning production, with pre-CGI special effects, John Williams delivering yet another memorable score, and the finest script that you could ever ask for. Most of all though, Return of the Jedi is an classic example of an unforgettable 34 year old movie which still holds up to this day. Everything in it is perfect, even the Ewoks. (Just don't mention Jabba's Palace...)
