Day 2: Favourite Star Wars Video Game

There are so many good Star Wars video games out there. From the original arcade game in 1983 to Battlefront II which was released a few weeks ago. There have also been some bad ones as well (I'm looking at you Yoda Stories!!!), but that's completely irrelevant.

I prefer the story-based games to the purely multiplayer games. The games which allow you to progress through a story as a singular character. That is why I have chosen Star Wars: The Force Unleashed as my favourite Star Wars video game.

In The Force Unleashed, you play as Starkiller, Darth Vader's secret apprentice. Starkiller is basically Vader's hitman, whose job it is to seek out any remaining Jedi and wipe them out. However, when his master betrays him, Starkiller must decide his own destiny.

TFU is a huge game, which takes the concept of the Force and unleashes its true potential using force lightning, lightsaber combos, and throwing people about using the force. You can even use the Force to open doors!

It feels like a real Star Wars movie. It's a real shame that it wasn't turned into a movie. Every character has their own particular arc, which is great because you don't get that from many other Star Wars games. Overall, I think that it is a great game which everyone needs to experience.

I hope you have enjoyed my mini-review of The Force Unleashed. If you have, then come back tomorrow for another daily Star Wars post. May the force be with you.
